An Evening with the Texas Jazz Central HCCS
On the campus of Houston Community College System Central College in the Heinen Theatre

TV/Film music composer Houstonian Joel Irwin was on his game as the Houston Community College System Central College’s Heinen Theatre presented the Texas Jazz Central HCCS, Tuesday night, March 10, 2009. Mark Holter, who entertained the audience with facts and humor, directed the band. The Jazz ensemble included Robert Smith, Walter Cavazos, Will Baigneault, John Hightower, Brandi Lewis, Alfred Brown, Gabriela Hernandez, Pete Leija, Nick Hoey, Rick Gonzalez, Robert Almogabar, Mike Casa, Steven Gray, Larry McClure, Edward Rojas, James Castillo, Willie Figueroa, James Hatton, Will Cano, Lawrence McGee, Steve Hager, Buford Norris, with singers Cindy St. Cyr, Jennifer Mergele and Ruth Meyers. The Texas Jazz Central HCCS played a variety of toe tapping tunes to the delight of the audience. If you missed this event, C-47 Houston magazine was there to take some pictures. Enjoy!
